Reporting to the Executive Director with direction from the Executive Administrative Assistant, this position of Part-time Project Coordinator works closely with the CEE team in support of our Membership Portal, grant reporting, and other related tasks as assigned. Title: Part-time Project Coordinator (Consultant)

Reports to: Executive Director with dotted line to Executive Administrative Assistant

Location: Remote

Salary: $30/hour up to 20 hours/week (schedule is Monday-Friday and some weekends as needed

Start Date: Fall 2024

Organizational Summary 

The Coalition for an Equitable Economy (CEE) is an action-oriented, dedicated collection of cross-sector Massachusetts organizations and individuals who are deeply committed to building an equitable small business ecosystem. Created in 2020, the Coalition’s efforts have focused on closing the racial wealth gap through supporting the small business owners and entrepreneurs in the state, and actively working to remove barriers to their growth and success. 

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Executive Director with direction from the Executive Administrative Assistant, this position of Part-time Project Coordinator works closely with the CEE team in support of our Membership Portal, grant reporting, and other related tasks as assigned. This role is intentionally flexible to allow for growth and increased involvement in the programs and services provided by CEE. This role is primarily remote and requires access to a computer and phone. Occasionally, the job will necessitate attending in person meetings, events, or visiting organizations as needed by CEE. Must have consistent means of transportation as needed. Travel is required as needed and as agreed to in advance (e.g., to a conference or event).

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Project Coordinator Support

  • Manage the full membership application process, from reviewing and assessing applications to approving them and communicating with prospective members
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure adherence to grant reporting requirements. 
  • Manage and implement special projects as necessary
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all activities and projects
  • Provide progress reports and updates at team meetings on activities and assigned projects 
  • Participate in internal and external meetings related to CEE projects, grants, and the membership portal
  • Other related duties to support CEE as determined and designated by Executive Director and/or Executive Administrative Assistant

Marketing, Fundraising and Ad Hoc Internal Support

  • Providing support for marketing initiatives, including assisting with the distribution and tracking of external communications, monitoring and maintaining (in a supporting role), and participating in marketing strategy meetings, as it relates to the Membership portal
  • Assisting in fundraising efforts, such as grant writing and reporting (in a secondary capacity)

What You’ll Need 

  • Educational requirement: Associates degree with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience (preferably with direct experience supporting nonprofit executives) or 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Deep commitment to and passion for CEE’s mission
  • Strong communicator 
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with an ability to juggle multiple tasks with distinct deliverables and deadlines
  • Self-directed and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Experience managing or supporting projects, including an ability to ‘work backward’ from an end goal; supporting an executive; and/or being responsible for multiple workstreams
  • Flexible and responsive, with an ability to adapt to change in direction or organization priority
  • Proficiency working predominantly via a computer [strong email skills, Google/ Microsoft products (Docs / Word, Sheets / Excel, etc.)]
